GREEN BERET FOUNDATION
Veterans Day is every day as we honor those who have fought to protect our freedoms. We are extremely grateful to all who have served and sacrificed. This year we have collaborated with professional hockey players and patriots Kevan Miller and Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins. We are excited to announce our collaboration with their company March & Mill Co. in support of the Green Beret Foundation! The Green Beret Foundation’s mission is to support Special Forces soldiers and their families.
We are dedicating this shirt to two individuals, 1st is First Sergeant Andrew McKenna Jr. a Green Beret who served with 7th Special Forces group. Andrew grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island and was a close family friend of Katrina Marchand, Brad Marchand’s wife. On the night of August 7th 2015, Andrew was killed in Afghanistan during a complex attack on a coalition facility, Camp Integrity. RIP
Second, Bert Kuntz, a former Green Beret, and founder and owner of Bison Union, would like to dedicate this tee in honor of Sgt. Jeremy R. Wright.
Sgt. Wright, 31, was a Special Forces communications sergeant assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Lewis, Wash.
He was killed in action while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom on Jan. 3, 2005, when the enemy IED exploded near his Ground Mobility Vehicle during operations in the vicinity of Asadabad, Afghanistan.
Wright deployed to Afghanistan in November 2004 in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Parachutist Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Special Forces Tab.
Wright was a 1996 graduate of Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind., and was a two-time All-American cross-country runner there. He was also a three-time member of the U.S. Mountain Running Team and was the Indiana state high school champion in the 3,200-meter run.
Our collaborative t-shirt includes the March & Mill Co. arrowhead, Bison Union bison with Special Forces crossed arrows, and a Green Beret’s shadow. Why $25.52? The .52 harkens back to the birth of US Army Special Forces in 1952 in the pine woods of Fort Bragg, NC.
100% of the proceeds/profits benefit the Green Beret Foundation!
